A friend has been ill for 4 years. No doctor can find a diagnosis. He has severe hip pain, muscle weakness, is in bed most of the time, walks with a cane and can not even sit up long enough to have a meal with his family. He has started loosing his hair and now his teeth are also loosing their enamel and breaking off. He is very sensitive to heat and light, his face is red and swelled up. Also has very high triglycerides(1400), and high blood pressure. He has mostly given up after around 20 doctors with abnormal test results but nothing exact. This person should be evaluated for Cushing's Syndrome as he is showing classic symptoms of this disease. Many dr's are not well versed on this disease and it often goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for many years. Cushing's Syndrome is caused by too much of the hormone cortisol in the bloodstream.
