Does ironing, and chemical straightening cause permanent hair loss?

i iron my hair 2-3 times a week after i wash it,and ive found that my hair that was pretty thick, has reduced in its density.also,i chemically straighten it every 4-5 months.will i develop bald patches becuase of it?Does ironing, and chemical straightening cause permanent hair loss?
No but constant heat and chemicals will give you dry brittle hair and make the hair very weakDoes ironing, and chemical straightening cause permanent hair loss?
YES! beware! straightening irons pull at the hair folicles ( bits which hold hairs in place) and over time loosen the hair so it falls out!

I know this from experience, dont worry, its ok to straighten your hair, but grip the top tightly with your hand, so that it isnt getting tugged at too much.

I do the same thing you do, and I don't have any problems. Everyone is different though. If you really seem to be losing a lot of hair I would skip the chemical straightening.
its good that you wait 4 to 5 months to straighten your hair, i do the same. but if your hair is falling out then stop using what ever product your using and wait six to eight months or longer b/c your hair needs time to breath and grow. cut back on ironing to 1 to 2 times a week or start going to the hair salon regularly.
Maybe. You can iron just don't iron too much.
It can definitely damage you're hair but it goes differently for every person. Your hair could be falling out because of a problem that has occurred from disease or something else.
if u keep doing that u will eventually get cancer. so it is best 2 just iron ur hair once a week and the permantly should stay for along time
