What are good vitamins for hair loss?

since like 4 years ago iv been noticing that i keep on loosing alot of hair. My hair is very thin and i could see bald spots if i dont fix it. Im looking for a vitamin that is very good for hair, that would reduce hair loss and grow hair faster. Im 18 years old male. --thanks--What are good vitamins for hair loss?
Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair. Have you tried Rogain? My roommate had thinning hair, she started using Rogain about 3 months to start working, but its gotten better. Not sure what vitamins you would need, maybe a protein drink, isn't hair mostly protein?
I would check with your doctor first and see if there is any medical reason for your hair loss. If it's determined that you are fine(which at your age, I'm assuming you're in good health for sure), then the most logical reason is DHT.

After an medical reason has been cancelled out, If you really want to battle hair loss, use Finasteride (Propecia). It will at minimum halt your hair loss. The vast vast majority of hair loss is due to the hormone DHT. I see people try these remedies and exercises all the time. At the end of the day, your hair loss is probably a result of DHT. The earlier you get started on Finasteride, the better. Talk to your doctor of course and get his or hers opinion. But, it's scientifically proven that most hair loss is a result of DHT. So why try remedies, exercise etc..when science has powerful evidence?

There are some great hair loss articles on these sites: www.hairtransplantinsider.com and www.hairtransplantmagazine.com
Vitamins have nothing to do with hair loss. Shave it down and stop being a girl. I can't wait til I start going bald.....one less thing to worry about. Now if you are losing hair due to a dfisease or nutritional deficiency that's another matter entirely. You certainly want to address the situation simply because it may effect your health in other ways that actually matter. But if you are just naturally going bald early then just embrace it. It worked for Captain Picard.
Joe,first off eat as healthy as you can because nutrition plays a huge role in our hair, you can take some Biotin vitamins, these help in aiding the hair.I also like to take Omega fish oil capsules and a good vitamin B complex as well.Hope this will help you out,Tomb Raider.
